Custom Decks
We build composite, pressure treated, and cedar decks for homes throughout the Arden area. Every deck gets joist tape, double flashing, and screw-only fastening because those details are what keep a deck from rotting in mountain humidity. The Arden area has a mix of established neighborhoods and newer development, with rolling terrain that requires thoughtful foundation and drainage planning.
Screened Porches
The Arden area sits in a beautiful part of South Asheville, close to the Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway. A screened porch gives you that mountain setting without the bugs. We build screened porches as standalone structures or as additions to existing decks, and we handle the framing, screening, roofing, and electrical.
Covered Porches
A covered porch extends your living space year-round in Arden. We build them with standing-seam metal roofing or shingled roofs to match your home.
The Arden area gets 45+ inches of rain a year, so proper drainage and flashing are critical. We handle both.
Garages
Detached garages, attached garages, and garage conversions. We build them with concrete foundations, framed walls, and finished interiors if you need workshop or storage space. Many Arden-area homes have rolling terrain that requires custom foundation work.

Quality Techniques
We use joist tape on every deck. It costs about $200 more per project, but we have never had a joist failure on any deck we have built since 2016. We use double flashing at every wall connection.
We use screw-only fastening. No nails. And we use picture frame trim boards for a clean finished edge. A lot of builders skip all of that.

We stand behind our work with a 1 year workmanship warranty. Materials carry manufacturer warranties that we pass through to you.

What Makes Building in Arden Different
Arden is an unincorporated community in South Buncombe County, but it is a well-established residential area with real neighborhood identity. The terrain here ranges from rolling to moderate slopes, especially near the Biltmore Estate and surrounding properties.
The Arden area sits between downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. That location makes it desirable, and the neighborhood has both established homes and newer development. Some properties have dramatic grade changes that require specialized foundation work. Others have more gradual slopes.
Building in the Arden area means following Buncombe County codes and getting Buncombe County permits. Any deck over 30 inches above grade or attached to the house needs a permit, engineered plans for certain spans, and multiple inspections. We have pulled over 300 permits in Buncombe County since 2013.
The dense hardwood canopy and rolling terrain in the Arden area mean decks accumulate leaf litter and moisture. Composite decking holds up better than pressure treated lumber here. We will tell you which material makes sense for your specific lot and view.
