Quality Techniques
We use joist tape on every deck. It costs about $200 more per project, but we have never had a joist failure on any deck we have built since 2016. We use double flashing at every wall connection.
We use screw-only fastening. No nails. And we use picture frame trim boards for a clean finished edge. A lot of builders skip all of that.

We stand behind our work with a 1 year workmanship warranty. Materials carry manufacturer warranties that we pass through to you.

What Makes Building in Canton Different
Canton sits at 2,600 feet elevation on the Pigeon River in Haywood County. The town is revitalizing with a Main Street focus, and the surrounding terrain has mountain lots along the river and ridges.
Canton is about 25 minutes from our office in Candler, making it a natural service area for our team.
The elevation means hard freeze-thaw cycles from November through March. Snow and ice happen here regularly. Material selection matters more in Canton because of the freeze-thaw stress.
Composite decking holds up better than pressure treated lumber at this elevation.
Building in Canton also means dealing with Haywood County permits and inspectors. We have done the work here and we know the process.
Any deck over 30 inches above grade or attached to the house needs a permit, engineered plans for certain spans, and multiple inspections.
The terrain around Canton is steep. Many lots have significant grade changes and river views, which makes them beautiful but also means decks, porches, and structures require specialized foundation work.
